The Greenwood Leflore Hospital Board of Trustees held a special called meeting.
The entire meeting was held in executive session, with the public and press excluded for 97 minutes.
Most of the members of the Greenwood city council and the Leflore County board of supervisors were allowed to attend the secret session, at which "strategic planning" was the topic of discussion.
The hospital administration presented some information regarding the possibility that UMMC would take over operations at the hospital, which is running out of time to find a way to stay open due to huge losses and lack of patients.
