The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The board held its public hearings on the tax increase for next year, as well as for the TIP project to redevelop the old Ramada Inn property. The request by Coburn's to finally purchase the old Balkamp distribution center was discussed. The engineer presented cost estimates for repairing two county roads and Bridge #71. The board went into executive session to discuss the purchasing and finance department, paying for the bridge repair, and road construction.
