Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The board once again considered approval of the minutes from May and June 2022. More business regarding Coburn Supply Company's request to purchase the old Balkamp warehouse took place. The board approved a resolution honoring Joyce Chiles. The TIF Grant Resolution for the new Ramada Inn property redevelopment project was taken up. The board discussed inmates and the county jail due to the state re-purposing the state inmate population from males to females. Sheriff Ricky Banks proposed that the county and state establish a Join State-County Work Program at the jail.
