Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

Johnny Gary and Jessie Williams presented information on the DRA Grant. The board accepted the fixed assets inventory for 2021-2022. Judge Kevin Adams asked for approval to apply for a credit card for county court. Gary Lofton asked for approval to purchase new toters for the solid waste department. A discussion regarding redistricting of supervisor, election commission, and constable districts took place. Funds were approved for the unveiling of a statue. A lien on property was requested by the Code Enforcement Officer Perell Westbrook. Larry "Kite" Johnson requested board sponsorship for a new HVAC system for the Greenwood Community and Recreation Center. The Road Manager presented an update on the new backhoe. An executive session was held regarding hiring new guards and security doors and monitors at the jail.
