The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The board went into executive session to discuss the hospital lease negotiations. The board approved salary increases for the juvenile detention facility staff. Mike Slaughter appeared to discuss the proposed county redistricting. A request for funding support for the Fannie Lou Hamer Cancer Foundation was taken up. The board discussed insurance and the personnel policy. A grant and matching funds for the airport were approved. A pay raise for the jail administrator was approved. The engineer presented a settlement from the insurance company for damage done to a county bridge by a local farmer. Another executive session was held to discuss a personnel matter.
