The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The board held a special meeting to discuss the UMMC demand that the city and county commit to pay $9.1 million in repairs and repayment of the money borrowed from Medicare.
Sam Abraham's motion to approve the draft resolution was defeated 3-2.
The resolution was then amended to strike UMMC's name, and that motion passed 4-1.
