Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The board tried to approve minutes from July 2022. A presentation was made regarding alternate education programs at the public schools. Election Commission Chairman Preston Ratliff requested special payment for the poll workers. Troy Brown made a presentation regarding keeping the hospital open. The Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year Holiday Schedule was approved. The Sheriff requested hiring several new personnel and making salary adjustments. The Road Manager discussed the four year road plan. The board went into executive session to discuss the hospital debacle. The board voted to send the hospital board a letter which stated in part, that "closing the hospital is not an option we could ever agree to."
