The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The board held a special meeting to discuss the Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Present were Congressman Bennie Thompson, GLH CEO Gary Marchand, Sam Odle (board's consultant regarding the hospital), State Senator David Jordan, and State Legislator Solomon Osborne. Members of the Greenwood City Council were also present.
The board went into executive session after an extended discussion by the meeting's attendees in the public meeting.
After coming out of executive session, on motion made by Sam Abraham, the board voted to appropriate $2.25 million to the Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
