Ashley Farmer presented the proposed CVBG budget for the upcoming year.

Jakobi Crigler inquired what the status was now regarding Greenwood and the sale of medical cannabis. The city is still studying the question and waiting for the scene to settle before making a permanent decision of whether to opt in or not.

The zoning and development code was amended regarding the bulk disposal of trash.

The seven city appointments to the CVBG board were approved, but not before Ward 6 Council member Dorothy Glenn made an overtly racist attack against Ward 5 Council member Andy Powell's endorsement of the reappointment of Cyndi Long to represent his ward.

Vicki Lott was appointed as clerk of the council. Charles J. Swayze Jr. was reappointed to the Greenwood Utility Commission. Karyn Burrus was appointed to manage the historic Elks Lodge on Washington Street.
