The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The board met to discuss the budget. Minutes from November were presented for approval. A presentation for a camera system took place, and the board discussed having to re-advertise using new specifications in order to entertain the new proposal. The board voted to approve writing a check for $1 million to the Greenwood Leflore Hospital, but there was extended discussion on whether it would be legal to do so without already having invoices from GLH for the reimbursement check. The board went into executive session to discuss industrial development.
