The board heard requests for ad valorem tax exemptions for Milwaukee Tool and Oxbow Crush, the company that bought the old Express Grain oil mill in Greenwood.

The board heard the quarterly jail report from Ed Hargett, and took up the matter of installation and maintenance of a camera security system.

Several matters, including awarding a bid for a road maintenance project, and discussion of preliminary engineering estimates for several other projects, were presented by the county engineer.

The board went into executive session to discuss peronnel matters and the proposed camera security system. No action was taken during executive session.

The board discussed the dispute regarding the county and city joint appointment to the hospital board of trustees. An Attorney General's opinion is to be sought regarding the "hold-over" status of Marcus Banks.
