The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

Upchurch Services provided the board with an update on the repair of the courthouse air conditioning system. Additional equipment will have to be installed to bring it up to full functioning.

Several matters relating to employee health and benefits were presented.

The pay increase requests of Circuit Court Judges Ashley Hines, Margaret Carey-McCray, and Richard Smith for court administrators and assistants was taken up again by the board.

A resolution and welcome letter were approved for the Nero-Moore Family Reunion.

Sandra Chase of Operation Peace Treaty appeared again regarding her request for financial support.

Ms. JoAnn Brownlow appeared before the board to present her concerns.

Ed Hargett presented more information about a psychiatric physician contract for the county jail.

The road manager reported the temporary closure of Whaley Road for necessary utility work.
