Kevin Matthews came before the board to question President Robert Collins's "executive order" appointing Johnny Gary to continue to serve as Chancery Clerk until the special election. A loud argument broke out between board members. Ultimately, the Sheriff escorted Mr. Matthews out of the room. Mr. Collins refused to answer Mr. Abraham's repeated questions about who drew up the executive order, who authorized it to be signed, and whether or not it was even legal.

The Sheriff requested several staff changes and hires for his department.

The county engineer brought several matters before the board, including a proposal from CSpire for service to several locations.
