The council voted to send Larry "Blue" Neal a notice to tear down a portion of the Midway Hotel, part of which he owns. The council had previously condemned the western end of the building, the old Star Tailor portion, but the structural engineer has concluded that a part of the building east of the Star Tailor section will also have to be removed because it will collapse when the Star Tailor portion is demolished. Mr. Neal was given proper notice, but did not appear at the hearing.
