At this afternoon's city council meeting, the Council voted 6 to 1 to extend the mandatory mask ordinance on individuals and businesses through June 15.

All council members spoke at length in favor of mandating masks, except Ward 2's council member Lisa Cookston, who spoke against it.

The discussion of the mask ordinance begins at 39:10 and runs for 18 minutes.

Council members David Jordan, Carl Palmer, Andrew Powell, Ronnie Stevenson, Charles McCoy, and Johnny Jennings voted in favor of extending the mandate.

Lisa Cookston cast the sole vote against the mandate.
